Awarding sustainable developments

The Dow Energy Award is an initiative by Dow Benelux and is awarded since 1985 in recognition of particular achievements with regard to promoting sustainable developments in the process industry. Besides reducing environmental pressure, this especially concerns the efficient utilisation or conversion of energy and/or resources, and advances in the field of sustainable energy sources.

The award was established by Dow Benelux after the company received the Energy Award in 1983 from the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Dow Energy Award consists of 25,000 euro prize money, while the Dow Energy Dissertation Awards offer a prize of 2,500 euro.
